What a great ISHOF weekend!

It was my privilege to attend the International Swimming Hall of Fame Coaching Clinic and Inductions Ceremony in Ft. Lauderdale on September 29th Through October 1st.

I attended as a vendor to market and sell The Art of Swimming & The Game of Racing to attendees and to have the book made available to the ISHOF mailing list.  The highlight of the weekend was the 2023 Induction Ceremony, which was held in the Parker Playhouse and honored the most accomplished people in aquatic life.  The event was hosted by Dara Torres who was wonderful in this role.  Michael Phelps and Bob Bowman were "headliners" but Missy Franklin, Cesar Cielo, and Kristy Coventry were other competitive swimmers honored for their exceptional achievement and contributions to competitive racing.

Others were from water polo, Artistic Swimming, Paralympics, Diving and Administration.  In addition to USA athletes and coaches, honorees were from Zimbabwe, South Africa, China, Russia, France, and Brazil. It was also great to visit with former swimmers (Jeff Newkirk), coaching colleagues Jay Fitzgerald, Mark Shubert, Brad Glenn, Bob Bowman, Tom Hines, and a host of other attendees at the clinic.

Special thanks goes to Mark Shubert who had read the book and recommended it to clinic attendees. His recommendation of the book was transforming in the energy which came to my table afterward. The other vendors, the attending coaches from many countries and the presenters made the weekend a real pleasure to experience and added to the purpose for which I was in attendance.
